Healthcare Career College 2019 Graduation

Healthcare Career College’s Spring 2019 Graduation Ceremony was held at Excelsior High School Auditorium in Norwalk, CA on June 29, 2019. Supporting students, friends, and family members filled the house as they waited for the ceremony to begin. The graduating class members were waiting at the back, anticipating their entrance and filled with joy and excitement. The programs being represented were Medical Biller and Coder, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Ultrasound Technician, Vocational Nurse, Dental Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, and Healthcare Management. Each graduating class wore specific cap and gowns to represent their programs.

After the graduation march, we opened our ceremony with the Star Spangled Banner, performed by Biviano Favela followed by “Letters to My Future Self” videos, created by Mr. Arviso’s students, Angelina Soto and Maria Bonaparte, sharing inspiring letters each student wrote to themselves while they were a student. Also featured was an inspiring story by one of our Medical Biller and Coder students, Denise Godoy with the theme of “A Mother’s Love” showing her struggles and strength with her youngest son, Eli. Denise Godoy is currently pursuing her Associate Degree in Healthcare Management.

Our Campus Director, Amita Garg, and our Dean, Dr. Ramon Geluz distributed the diplomas. The Vocational Nurse Candle Lighting Ceremony and the Florence Nightingale Pledge was led by our Vocational Nurse instructor and Nursing Coordinator, Germaine Felix.
